Legal, hosting, privacy — the unglamorous page.

Everything a visitor (or a regulator) needs to know about who publishes this site, where it lives, and what it does with data. Kept short and honest like the rest.

Publisher

Who publishes this site.

Johannes Girard — senior platform engineer, France. Contact: johannes.girard@gmail.com · LinkedIn.

This is a personal, non-commercial pre-launch site for an open-source project. AiOverload’s source code will be published under AGPL-3.0; the prose and visual identity on this site are © 2026 Johannes Girard.

Hosting

Where this site lives.

Static files on Amazon S3, served through Amazon CloudFront (AWS). No server-side code, no database, no session state — the site is generated ahead of time and deployed as plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Privacy

What this site does with data.

As little as possible, and stated exactly:

  • Analytics: Google Analytics 4, consent-gated. This site measures traffic with Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-R06JFMY8B7). The script loads only after you accept the consent banner — decline and nothing is sent, no cookie is set. Your choice is stored in your own browser (localStorage) and never transmitted.
  • What is collected on accept: pages visited, anonymized IP (anonymize_ip is on), device and browser metadata, coarse referrer — and Google sets _ga cookies (up to 2 years). Nothing you type is collected: this site has no forms and no input fields.
  • Who sees it: the publisher, as aggregate traffic reports, and Google as the processing provider (under Google’s Data Processing Terms; processing may occur outside the EU). No advertising features, no User-ID, no resale, no sharing with anyone else.
  • Your rights (GDPR): access, object, erase. The practical levers: decline the banner, delete the _ga* cookies and the stored choice in your browser, or use a tracker blocker. For anything else, email johannes.girard@gmail.com.
  • Contacting the maintainer via the mail links sends an email from your own client — this site never sees or stores the message.
  • No accounts, no forms, no logs sold — there is nothing to sell.
